The Love in Bloom bouquet. Goddamn it. Why the hell is she so damn weird? I choke down the flush itching to creep up my face; keep my eyes fixed resolutely forward as the sniggers and stares of my co-workers strike into back. I told her not to send flowers for my birthday, least of all to my workplace, but no-no-no my sister has to do everything her way.

I wanna expand on that jdjfkdkf bc I have Thoughts. especially playing corpo v like #I think the whole thing hit me even harder as corpo bc you get to see a sort of parallel situation with your v #where you had all this renown and respect but it came at a great cost. so great it nearly killed you #and then you go through that again and now you're dying and your friend is dead #and it's all in the pursuit of fame and money #that scene in the car when they're heading for the hotel reminded me so much of that initial scene with v #when you get in your fancy car and sip your fancy champagne #and like 10 minutes later nearly get killed by people from arasaka #I think there might be a point to be made there. about jackie heading towards the same kind of life just with a different coat of paint #being seduced by the same things we were seduced by while accepting the cost without fully understanding it #and then when you're faced with it it's. well it's heartbreaking and life ending #self destruction in the pursuit of something that makes you wonder if it was even all that worth it to begin with #viktor vektor is probably the happiest person I've met so far and that's saying something #anyway rant over. ty for your time I'm gonna go cry over jackie in the corner excuse me

FINALLY!! At long last, I've gotten my hands on a Pumpkin Kitty, after a whole year of wanting and waiting.

Her name is Latte! (Short for Miss Pumpkin Spice Latte) You can also call her Miss Spice!

#I spent 10 minutes picking her out omfg #not even exaggerating. I was deciding between this one and one of the last 3 unstuffed PKs #altogether there was only 5 of them left in the store including the 2 stuffed displays #the other one I was looking at had a nearly perfect pumpkin eye patch but less pumpkins overall #and their face wasn't as nice plus the ears were a bit wonky for my taste.#tho it was really hard to tell which would be better while they were unstuffed and flat #in the end I chose Latte because right away she looked to have a sweet face. her ears were nice and she had better patch placement #including a couple full patches on her tail #tbh if I'd had the money I might have bought both because the decision was hard #the bear builder actually asked if I was alright while I concentrated on studying each of those damn cats #I apologized and explained wtf was up with me. she was very understanding #I've always had this quirk where sometimes it'll take forever for me to pick between plushies I really want #especially if they're both the same exact plush. because then I gitta focus harder on finding out which has the better personality #you get what I mean?#anyways this has been a thing for me even as a real little kid #I remember spending and hour-hour and a half almost every time when my dad took me to choose my monthly webkinz #“my monthly webkinz” god that makes me sound so privileged. it was the nicest/best thing my dad could afford to get me because we were poor #he wanted to spoil me as all good fathers do but that was the most he could afford and I was always so grateful and still am! but I digress #anyways I took way too long to pick which kitty would become my Latte #but I'm glad I had the opportunity to choose yet alone to actually see pumpkin kitty irl available for purchase #what do you guys think of her?#stuffed animals #plushies #plushblr #build a bear #BAB #pumpkin kitty

#they should invent a grad school thats not fucking insane #i'm hanging in there but im the most unwell i've been in AWhile #this week was just horrible #there was already the freezer food incident but it also started off with a very severe pain episode thats putting me in constant woe #even mundane motion has been agonizing which is McAwesome bc we had a lab inspection which involved moving hundreds of pounds of equipment #during which we found a blackwidow and rats which we had to deal with and was a whole thing psychologically on top of the physical toll #the new class fiasco is still popping off and i had to respond to at this point over 400 emails in the fleeting moments outside of lab #AND A STUDENT TRIED TO FINANCIALLY BRIBE THEIR WAY INTO THE CLASS ? ?? ?? ?????#then the instructor wanted to use me as a guinea pig and i had to test new circuit boards but I wasnt given any time to do so properly #i had to test them plus get them operational and deal with my incoming students all in a frantic 10 minute window #im in charge of running our meetings too but the instructor was interrupting and having side conversations that made it really hard-#to train the other people on the new equipment in a smooth manner #which meant that a bunch of people had to keep me after to ask questions which made me late for my drs appointment #where i found out i cant get the new covid vaccine bc my heart and blood levels arnt stable enough #and joanns lost an expensive+critical fabric order of mine+i had to give a big presentation this week on my research that was stressful #and my inbox is still blowing up from being needed all over the place between teaching lab and classes and yall i am. so so tired.#im in so much pain and so stressed out #debating the ethics of turning into a pile of lint to escape my responsibilities and mortal frame

#basically yesterday night was chaharshanbe suri . which is a solar new yr tradition where we let go of the past suffering in our year #and like...start the new yr w fresh vigour . anyway so my friend was at the event and we were abt to leap over the fire #and she was like bro im im glad u blocked her (situationship) etc etc . and then. my phone started vibrating. and i look at it. and my f #friend looks at it. and its her. and were both like what the fuck?? i blocked her things r Over and anyway so i pick up the phone and shesl #acting like nothing happened (bc nothing DID happen for her) and she was like ohh ur doing chaharshanbe suri im not doing anything etc what #are ur new yr plans so i jusr .IDK WHY I DID THIS . but ig i didnt wanna come off as like lonely i said probably hanging out w family and #friends maybe reading poetry together . et cetera and she was like wait that sounds so fun why didnt u invite me!#LIKE WDYM YOUVE BEEN CONSISTENTLY MAKING IT CLEAR U DONT WANT TO BE IN MY PRESENCE . and i told her that after #everything i thought she didnt want to see me again and she was like you always think that 😐 . like. ?? ok anyway so she expects me to #invite her . and like. there is an above 0% but sub-5% chance she will actually show up . but the panic that gripped me #i started making calls to my friends asking them if they can come on the 23rd bc there must be an event and also i asked my mother #and she said actually yeah i am doing a thing on the 23rd :D it involves over 16 ppl (we live in a v small flat) of which like...7 are kids #so you wont have space to be in ur own room let alone invite others. which tbh like ...being around a bunch of loud kids doesnt seem fun fo #any of my friends or me etc so i thought maybe i should arrange things so that we all go out together and if she shows up she shows up 🤷‍♀️#but . im so. sad bc im stuck home alone when my beloved husband has been out meeting our friends and i cant go bc i have to work/am sick/cant afford to catch a flu or smthn rn :((
